Jessie Lou (Flick) Clearman was born in the Warsaw Community on August 15, 1918 to Oscar and Lillie Blanton. She passed away on February 3, 2011. Jessie married Wayland Clearman on August 29, 1941, and they made their home in Crandall. Wayland later became mayor and Jessie was the local seamstress for the community. She excelled at cooking, sewing, and crafts. Her handiwork was once featured in the Kaufman Herald. They "retired" to the family homestead in Warsaw in 1985 where they spent many hours restoring antique trunks. Jessie is predeceased by her parents and husband, sister Sally May and brother Buck Blanton. She is survived by her children Peggy Davis of Kaufman and Richard Clearman and wife Lerna of Warsaw. She is also survived by grandsons Ronnie Davis and wife Lesa of Kaufman, Scott Clearman and wife Jennifer of Kemp, Todd Clearman of Warsaw, and granddaughters Lisa McMahan and husband Ronnie, Cindy Wilson and husband Mike, Sandra Underwood and husband Richard all of Kaufman. Also left to cherish her memory are great-grandchildren Michael Wilson, Deena Lee, Kristie and Steven Underwood, Christopher Davis, Chantry and Connor McMahan all of Kaufman, Taylor, Josh and Jake Clearman of Kemp and six great great-grandchildren. She also leaves brothers O.L. (Shunnie) Blanton and wife Lois of Warsaw and Charles (Durwood) Blanton and wife Jackie of Garland, sister-in-law Ruth Scott of Lubbock and a host of loving cousins, nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Services were held at Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home on February 8, 2011 with interment at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Scurry.
