Dorothy Pearl Hill

Dorothy Pearl Hill was born in Indiana to Allie and Elva Caldwell Cocheran. Dorothy passed away in Kaufman on June 1, 2009. Dorothy was raised in Kentucky and Oklahoma. She moved to Texas in 1945 and later moved to Scurry in 1947. Dorothy was a member of the Scurry Church of Christ and the Red Hatter Ladies. She married Jesse W. Hill in California in 1946. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Jesse and sons, Wendell Cousins and Jesse Hill Jr. and a daughter Lou Williams. Dorothy is survived by her sons: Thurman Cousins of Scurry, Kenneth Cousins of Ferris and James Hill of Scurry, daughters: Geanie Murr of Scurry, Belva Harrison of Wylie and Diana Woody of Kaufman, twenty-seven grandchildren, fifty-six great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
