Ollie Mae Benson

OLLIE MAE BENSON Ollie Mae Benson was born in Kaufman, Texas on December 9, 1919 to Benjamin and Bonnie Smith Mitchell. Ollie passed away at her home in Kaufman on June 4, 2009. Ollie was raised in Kaufman and lived all her life in Kaufman. She married Holton Lee Benson on October 28, 1939 in Kaufman. Ollie worked with her husband in several businesses in Kaufman. They were the former Texaco Distributor and owned and operated H. L. Benson Trucking Company. Ollie was a member of the Saint Ann Catholic Church in Kaufman. She was preceded in death by her husband Holton on July 12, 2001, a son Terry Lee Benson, brother Glenn Mitchell, sisters Allie Armstrong, Helen Rice and Lottie Hardin. Ollie is survived by her daughter: Brenda Benson Pate of Kaufman, grandchildren: Chad Patrick Pate, Matthew Todd Pate and his wife Wendy, Melanie Pate Bowers and her husband Wilfred Sr., great-grandchildren: Marshall Pate, Averi Pate, Holton Pate, Wilfred Bowers Jr. and Pate Benson Bowers and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
