Polly Ruth Copeland

Polly Ruth Copeland was born January 23, 1921 in the Rand Community to Charles Rand and Lorena Jenkins. Ruth passed away in a Kaufman hospital on September 5, 2010. Ruth was raised in the Rand Community and later moved to Richardson in 1958 where she worked for the City of Richardson. Ruth moved back to Kaufman in 1970 where she and her husband owned and operated Copeland's Grocery. Ruth was a member of the Ola Church of Christ. She married Jim Copeland in Ola in October of 1970. Her husband Jim preceded Ruth in death on April 9, 2007. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Jan Booker and a granddaughter Christ Paige Rice. Ruth is survived by her daughter: Becky Rice and her husband Bob of Kaufman, son: Jimmy Copeland and his wife June of Kaufman, sister: Erma Sue Harvill of Kaufman, sister-in-law: Lorene Rand of Kaufman, grandchildren: Teri Foster, Keiley Booker, Brooke Walls, Stacy Putnam and Morgan Copeland, great-grandchildren: Jagger Putnam, Kali Booker, Cree Walls, twins Britlyn and Kiersten Walls and many other relatives and friends.
