Doris Ann Council

Doris Ann Council was born in Durant, Oklahoma on June 2, 1931 to Thomas Jefferson Berghauser and Rena Mae Lankister. Dottie passed away at her home in Kaufman, Texas on October 24, 2010. Dottie was raised in Durant Oklahoma. She married D. G. Council on August 25, 1945 in Jacksonville, Texas and later moved to Kaufman in 1952. Miss Dottie was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Kaufman for over fifty-eight years where she ministered in music. Miss Dottie also played the organ for many families at funeral homes and churches in Kaufman for many years. Her husband Rev. D. G. Council preceded her in death on June 20, 2005. Dottie is survived by her sons: Jimmy Council and Jeff Council both of Kaufman, daughters: Judy Ward of Longview and Barbara Day of Glenn Heights, ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
