Genell Cawthon

Genell Cawthon was born in Frost, Texas on May 22, 1916 to Elmer and Geneva Keathley Burdine. Genell passed away in a Kaufman, Texas hospital on May 12, 2011. Genell lived in Scurry, Texas for twenty-five years before moving to Kaufman, Texas in 2000. Genell attended the First Baptist Church of Kaufman. She married A. J. "Boots" Cawthon in 1936 and he preceded her in death on October 24, 2002. Genell is survived by her son: David Cawthon and his wife Paula of Kaufman, daughters: Janis Mitchell of Jacksonville and Linda Ragsdale and her husband Lanny of Kaufman, grandchildren: Vicki Roberts, Roy Mitchell, Kelly Lee, Kathy Lee, Mike Ragsdale, Shannon Howle, Amy Cawthon and Emily Wilken, eight great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
