Bobby Irby

Bobby Irby was born in the Blackland Community on a cotton farm on May 17, 1926 to Ben and Ocia Watson Irby. Bobby passed away in a Kaufman hospital on December 31, 2010. Bobby attended the Warsaw School and after graduating entered the U. S. Navy serving in World War II. After the service Bobby returned to Warsaw and started driving a truck for twenty years. He later was promoted to transportation supervisor for Frito Lay where he worked for thirty years. Bobby retired in 1987. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kaufman. Bobby married Lillie "Jerry" Jones on October 25, 1947 in Crandall and she preceded him in death on January 8, 2006. Bobby remarried Patsy Ishmael on August 9, 2007 in Cash. Bobby is survived by his wife: Patsy of Kaufman, son: Phillip Irby and his wife Lou of Kaufman, stepson: Troy Lennon of Cedar Creek, stepdaughters: Darlene Stewart of Rowlett, Jennifer Southall of Forney and Melissa Jones of Sachse, sister: Ira Bell Crawley of Kaufman, grandson: Paul Irby of Moab, Utah, ten step grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
