Richard Allan "Dick" Osgan was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 14, 1933 to Hubert Osgan and Martha Whitney. Dick passed away in the VA Hospital in Seattle, Washington on August 5, 2010. Dick was raised in Michigan and later entered the U. S. Air Force and retired after serving twenty years. He did tours in Korea and Vietnam while in the Air Force. Dick moved to Kaufman in 1972 where he was a police officer for the City of Kaufman for eighteen years and served as the Chief of Police and retired in 2001. Dick was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He loved anything that had to do with the outdoors. In December of 1952 Dick married Inis Margaret Hearn in Kaufman, Texas. His parents and a granddaughter Kelley Osgan preceded Dick in death. Dick is survived by his wife: Inis Osgan of Kaufman, daughters: Denise Flagg of Nashville, Tennessee, Karen Nuggier of Kaufman, Gail Osgan of Kaufman, Sheri Blankinship of Seattle, Washington and Robin Bankston of Kaufman, brother: Charles Osgan of Detroit, Michigan, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
