Thomas Arlen McManus

Thomas A. Tommy" McManus was born in Dallas on May 22, 1942 to Hershel and Willie Faye Hawkins McManus. Thomas passed away at his home in the Ola Community on January 1, 2010. Thomas was raised in Oak Cliff and later moved to DeKalb, Texas in 1966. He married Shirley Taylor on October 4, 1965 in Midlothian, Texas and they moved back to Dallas in 1969. Thomas moved to Kaufman in 1998. He worked for Roadway Express for thirty years where he was a member of the Teamsters Union and a Union Steward. His parents and a brother Andrew McManus preceded Thomas in death. He is survived by his wife: Shirley of Kaufman, sons: Bruce McManus and his wife Teresa of Kaufman and Brad McManus and his wife Brandie of Mesquite, brothers: Bill McManus of Ben Wheeler, A. W. McManus of Arkansas, Richard Munson of Ben Wheeler and Alvin McManus of Dallas, sisters: Darlene Marrow of Ben wheeler and Donna Huddle of Ben Wheeler, grandchildren: Taylor McManus, and Riley and Hailey McManus and many other family and friends.
