Glenda Sue Walters passed away at her home with her three sons, niece Morgan, and nephew Josh by her side on Monday, February 20, 2012, at the age of 64. Glenda was born in Sumrall, Mississippi on April 6, 1947 to Joe and Velma Lee Gore Kendrick. Glenda was an active member in the community. She volunteered for more than 30 years at the Dallas County Veteran Affairs hospital, the Dallas Ronald McDonald House, several Dallas Nursing homes and Orphanages, and the Jerry Lewis MD foundation. Glenda moved with her husband to the city of Eustace in 1997 and owned GW'S BBQ in Eustace for six years. Glenda will be reunited with her husband Winston Hubbie Walters, who died in 2009, her granddaughter Mary, Mother, Father, sister Betty, niece Dee and other family and friends. Glenda is survived by her three sons, Joseph, Jamie, and Jeff, nine grandchildren, Morgan, Josh, Kennedy, Leah, Lauryn, Jordan, Micah, Jonah, one grandchild that is due in June, and one great granddaughter Hadley. She also leaves behind two sisters Doris and Shelia, three brothers Jo Neal Kendrick, Ronald Kendrick, and Roger Kendrick, and her loyal poddle Precious. Glenda will be remembered by her family as always taking care of others before herself and being the rock of the Walters family. She will never realize the positive impact she has made in her son's and grandchildren's lives. Although the family is grieving this loss, they know Glenda is in a better place and with love of her life, Winston. Prior to her death, Glenda was able to spend quality time with her family she deeply treasured and enjoy her home one last time. Glenda will be buried on Saturday, February 25th at Kaufman Cemetery.
