Roy Elwood Frierson

ROY ELWOOD FRIERSON Roy Elwood Frierson was born in Haskell, Texas on September 28, 1923 to Paul and Alice Jones Frierson. Roy passed away in Kaufman on May 4, 2009. Roy was raised in Haskell and later graduated from Texas A. & M. University. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Roy worked for the Phillips Petroleum Company in Tulsa as an assistant sales manager. After, working for Phillips Petroleum, Roy began working for Nipak. Roy later went into the real estate development business and then moved to Kaufman in 1980. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a 32nd degree mason in Tulsa. On November 20, 1953 Roy married Lorraine McKnight in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife: Lorraine of Kaufman, son: James Roy Frierson and his wife Karon of Kaufman, daughters: Deborah Wilhite and her husband John of Red Oak, , Alice Anne Bell and her husband Ken of Midlothian and Diane Lorraine Weyer and her husband Wayne of Euless, ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
