E. Marie Mitchell

MARIE MITCHELL Marie Mitchell was born in Scurry, Texas on November 25, 1919 to Louis and Luella Lagow Gardner. Marie passed away at her home in Kaufman on June 17, 2009. Marie was raised in Grays Prairie and then moved to Kaufman where she graduated from Kaufman High School. She lived the rest of her life in Kaufman where she worked for the Texas Department of Human Resources for ten years. Marie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kaufman, Business and Professional Women?s Club of Kaufman, American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Marie is survived by her sons: David Mitchell and his wife Billie Ann of Corsicana, Scotty Mitchell and his wife Tami of Kaufman and Tracy Mitchell of Kaufman, daughters: Judy Marie Ellis of Dallas and Janis Freeman of Kaufman, brother: Pete Gardner of Franklin, Louisiana, ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and many other relatives and close friends.
