WILLIE T. HOLLAND Willie Thelbert Holland was born in Kaufman County in between Kemp and Kaufman on September 30, 1911 to Charlie and Annie McGuire Holland. Willie was raised in Kaufman. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corp during World War II. After the service Willie owned the Gulf Service Station in Kaufman. Later he began working for the U. S. Postal Service in Kaufman as a rural mail carrier. Willie was a member of the Kaufman Church of Christ since 1922. He was very active in the Kaufman Senior Citizens Center before he became unable to attend due to his health. Willie was preceded in death by his first wife Alta Mae Dean and is survived by his wife: Aline Holland of Kaufman, son: Bill Holland of Kemp, daughter: Ann Rankin and her husband Rex of Midlothian, sister: Joan Hawkins of Hawkins, grandchildren: Rodney Rankin, Scott Davis and Brian Frank, four great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
