Edgar Lewis Marven

Edgar Lewis Marven Jr. was born in Worcester, MA on October 31, 1934 to Edgar and Ethel Polson Marven. Edgar passed away at his home in Kaufman County, Texas on January 30, 2012. Edgar was raised in New Alban, Indiana and later joined the U. S. Air Force in 1955. Edgar received his master's degree in engineering from the University of Louisville. He worked for Southern Bell in Louisville, Kentucky for twenty years and worked for AT&T for twenty years. Edgar moved to Murphy, Texas in 1978 and later to Kaufman in 1986. He retired in 2000 from Alcatel in Richardson. Edgar was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kaufman. On June 4, 1957 Edgar married Gail Webb in Louisville, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife: Gail of Kaufman, sons: Paul Webb Marven of Alvarado, Mark Edward Marven and his wife Shannon of Cedar Hill and Michael Paul Marven of Kaufman, daughter: Kim Marven Curlee of Victoria, grandchildren: Courtney Grace Marven, Matthew Lawrence Marven and Mary Nichole Curlee, sister: Betty Ann Baer of Sellersburg, Indiana and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be to the Rainbow Room of Kaufman and Greater Texas Community Partners.
