LAURA PEARL THOMAS Laura Pearl Thomas was born in New Hope, Texas on September 23, 1927 to Sam and Ethel Goyne Williams. Laura passed away in Kaufman, Texas on January 21, 2012. Laura was raised in Hardeman County, Texas and graduated from Medicine Mound Schools. She moved to Decatur, Texas and later moved to Irving, Texas after she married Harlan Wayne Thomas on June 3, 1950. Laura worked for Lone Star Gas in Irving and after she retired she moved to Carrollton, Texas and later worked for the Grapevine Doll Shop in Grapevine. Laura also worked for Trakk Fulfillment in Irving. She moved to Kemp in 2009 where she was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church. Laura loved teaching art at the Kemp Senior Citizens Center. She loved to sew and paint. Her husband Harlan Wayne Thomas preceded Laura in death on February 19, 2006 and she survived by her sister: Clara Fuller of Kemp and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
