Donald Robert Dickerson

Donald Robert Dickerson was born in Crandall, Texas on July 6, 1939 to Emmitt and Velma Barber Dickerson. Donald passed away in a Dallas hospital on September 16, 2009. Donald was raised in Crandall and graduated from Crandall schools. He worked for Rhino Products in Dallas for twenty-nine years. When he retired in 1986 from Rhino Products, Donald began working for the Crandall School District as the transportation director for ten years. Donald served on the Crandall City Council for seven years and the Crandall School Board for eighteen years. He was also a member of the Crandall Volunteer Fire Department for twenty years. Donald was a Gideon and a member of the Grace Fellowship Baptist Church in Oak Grove where he served as a deacon for many years. On September 8, 1961 Donald married Johnnie Glynn in Crandall. Donald is survived by his wife: Johnnie of Crandall, daughters: Donna Stamper and her husband James of Crandall and Cindy Fowler and her husband Mike of Warsaw, brothers: Marshall Dickerson of Garland and Mickey Dickerson of Crandall, grandchildren: Bobby Don Fowler, Danielle Schumpert, Andrea Fowler, Andrew Stamper and Aaron Stamper, great-grandchildren: Cayden Fowler and Katelynn Schumpert and many other relatives and friends.
