JAMES S. KNISLEY, JR. James s. Knisley, Jr. completed his last run down the slopes on December 18, 2008 and the lifts are closed. Jim was born June 27, 1924 in Stroud, OK, to James S. and Nita C. Knisley, who preceded him in death, along with a sister, Mary Margaret Housewright. He is survived by his loving wife, Jonelle, son Jimmy Knisley of Oakes, ND, daughters Jeannie Pillow of Seagraves, TX, and Marilyn Rowden of Kaufman, 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and too many friends and other relatives to count. He proudly served his country in World War II as a pilot in the Army Air Corps, flying the Hump over China, Burma, and India. Jim and Jo raised their family in Seagraves, TX where he farmed until 1989. They retired to Mabank, and then moved to Kaufman in 2005. Family always came first. He was a loving husband and proud father, instilling true Christian values, leading by example. A voracious reader, and avid skier, and consummate pilot, he loved to laugh, to travel, and the company of friends and family. He is truly missed. Family requests memorial be to the Presbyterian Church of Kaufman, Texas
