Kathryn Lynn Covington

[i][b]KATHRYN LYNN COVINGTON Kathryn Lynn Covington was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on March 16, 1958 to William Henry Kerr and Dorothy Golden. Kathy passed away at her home in Scurry on December 6, 2010. Kathy was raised in Irving and Kaufman where she lived most of her life. Kathy moved to Scurry in 1980. She married Michael Covington on May 12, 1979 in Kaufman at Saint Ann Catholic Church. Kathy graduated from Kaufman High School in 1976 and then graduated from Stephen F. Austin University in 1980. Kathy received her master's degree in 1983 from East Texas State University. Kathy worked for the Kaufman Independent School District for thirty-one years where she was a teacher and principal at Monday Primary School. For eleven years Kathy was the assistant superintendent for the Kaufman Independent School District. Kathy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kaufman. She is survived by her husband Mike of Scurry, daughters: Christina Michelle Miller and her husband Grant of Kaufman and Kellie Elizabeth Covington of Kaufman, granddaughter: Macie Grace Miller, parents: Bill and Dorothy Kerr of Kaufman, brother: Billy Kerr and his wife Shelly of Kaufman, sister: Sherry Kerr of Kaufman, nephews: William Kerr and Joshua Kerr and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers family has requested that memorials be made to Kaufman ISD Scholarship Fund in Kathy's Name. [/b][/i]
