Jean A. Young

Jean was born August 26, 1930 in DeQueen, Arkansas to Cora Belle Allen and John Harley Allen. She passed away October 15, 2010 after a long illness. She lived the early part of her life in DeQueen, moving with her family to California during World War II. After, the war, she and her family moved to the Dallas area and lived there and in West Texas for many years. During this period of time she married Dale Kelso who was the father of her two children. Several years after his death, she married her present husband. She is survived by her husband, Glenn Young, a son Terry Dale Kelso, a daughter Shelly Maddox, a step-son Marc Young, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a sister Mary Callahan, and several nephews and nieces. Jean had a close bond with nephew Ron Westbrook and niece Marilyn Squyres. Jean was a vivacious, loving, energetic, and friendly person and loved to visit with her wide circle of friends. She cherished her family and was loved by them.
