LaVerne Myatt

LaVerne Myatt was born in Corsicana, Texas on January 30, 1923 to Robert and Mittie Thomas Harris. LaVerne passed away in Kaufman on August 23, 2011. LaVerne was raised in the Emhouse Community near Corsicana. She moved to Kaufman in 1951 and in 1956 LaVerne became the first secretary for Kaufman High School. Later she began working for Jackson Title Company in Kaufman. LaVerne retired from Jackson Title and later worked for the Kaufman Appraisal District for ten years. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Kaufman. LaVerne married Herman Fletcher Myatt on December 2, 1949 in Fort Worth, Texas. Herman preceded her in death on April 12, 2004. LaVerne is survived by her daughter: Kay Wilson of Kaufman, sister: Frances Mahoney of Corsicana, granddaughters: Lisa Aulds and Laura Throneberry, great grandchildren: Justin, Throneberry, Jake Throneberry and Kaylee Aulds and many other relatives and friends.
