Latrell Chapman Harper

Latrell Chapman Harper was born in Sulphur Springs, TX. on Oct.5, 1914 to Elvis Enoch and Martha (Ozzie) Chapman. She died on March 1 at the age of 95. She graduated from Sulphur Springs High in 1932 and attended East Texas State Teachers' College. She married Walter Allen (Ted) Harper Feb. 2, 1935. In 1944, Trell and Ted moved to Kaufman where they lived on the same street for over 60 years. Ted preceded her in death in 2001. She is survived by her daughter Marianne Harper McConnell and husband Tom, and her daughter Lou Irby and husband Phil. Grandchildren are Anne McConnell Koch and husband John, Allen McConnell and wife Deedee, Lea McConnell Fassler and husband Scott, and Paul Irby. She also had seven great-grandchildren. Latrell was a devoted Methodist, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A special thanks to her caregivers, Mary, Casas, Rachel Cisneros and Nancy Smith.
