Alan Adcock

Alan Dale Adcock was born on February 1 1940 in Mesquite Tx to Rissie Mae (Smith) Adcock and James Dewey Adcock. He passed away on March 8, 2025 in the home he had lived in since 1967.

He joined the Army in 1956 when he was 16 years old ( he lied about his age to get in) and served for 6 years, 3 of which he served in Bad Kreuznach Germany. He drove a truck for Safeway for 17 years. He also enjoyed raising cattle and growing hay. He loved to read about history and remembered everything he read.

He is survived by his daughter Dale Ann Novian and husband Carl of Canyon Tx, daughter Patti Newton and husband Danny of Kemp Tx, son JoPaul Adcock and wife Casey of Canton Tx as well as six granddaughters and numerous great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Adcock. Mother and father Rissie and James Adcock , brother James “Jim” Adcock, sister Lorraine Siminoff, sister Jean Baird and sister Margie Fillmore.
