Barbara Johnson

Barbara Ann Johnson, age 79, of Kaufman, passed away April 29, 2022.

She is now with her greatest loves, her Lord, her husband, Bud, and Elvis.

Barbara was born in Commerce, Texas on January 6, 1943. She met her husband, at a church social. They got married August 12th, and made a home in the Pleasant Grove area of Dallas. In 1978 they moved to Kaufman and became active members of the First Baptist Church and were involved in youth sports for the Kaufman Lions Club summer baseball program and the Kaufman Soccer Association.

Barbara’s love for children transcended from the classroom to the ball fields to her home over the years.

She was passionate, kind, and generous.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Jill Strahan and her husband Jay Strahan, her son Jeff Johnson, grandchildren, Victoria, Ayshia, Xavier and Kenle; great grandchildren Brooklyn and Steelie, Blane and Addy J.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arvil and Clynie and granddaughter Kayla Pinkerton.
