Carl Eric Humes, Jr.

Carl Eric Humes, Jr. (C2), age 21, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023.

Born in Mesquite, Texas, on March 5, 2002, to his parents, Carl, Sr. and Julie Humes. C2 attended Crandall High School from where he graduated in 2019. He loved being on the boat with his family and he liked to fish. C2 was a beloved son, brother, friend, and hard worker.

Those left to cherish his memories are his parents, Carl, Sr., Julie, Senada, and Chance; his siblings, Christine, Caine, Haley, Raleigh, Mikey, Sophia, and Emma; nieces and nephews Camden, Ariana, Alivia, and Mateo. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dale and Norma (BO) Humes, and Sandra Pryor Fortner.

C2 was a fearless, genuine, and selfless man who would do anything for his family and friends. He was our sunshine on our dark days. His contagious laugh, smile, and kindness will be deeply missed.

Friends are cordially invited to gather with the family and share remembrances of C2, during a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Sunday, April 2, 2023, at the Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home Chapel in Kaufman, Texas.

A celebration of life for C2 will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Kaufman Community Christian Center (KC3) with Josh McKechnie officiating.
