Carla Faye Thompson

Carla Faye Thompson, age 61, woke in the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 17, 2022.

The Family will be receiving visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 o'clock, Friday, March 25, 2022. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel at Parker Ashworth Funeral Home at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 26, 2022. Officiated by Pastor Brent Gentzel; interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Carla was born to Carl and Doris Swartz in Dallas, TX on May 11, 1960. She attended Seagoville High School and married her high school sweetheart Larry Don “Bubba” Sorrells on March 23, 1975. Carla and Bubba were married until Bubba’s death in 2002. Carla found love again and married Bobby Thompson on July 4, 2008. Carla loved to laugh, loved flowers and sunshine and most of all loved her family.

Carla is preceded in death by her husband, Bubba Sorrells; parents, Carl and Doris Swartz.

Carla is survived by adoring husband, Bobby Thompson; beloved sons, Cole Sorrells, Cody Sorrells and wife, Natalie; grandchildren, Whitney & Dane Sorrells. Brother, Rocky and wife, Debbie; sister, Cindy and husband, Tom; brother, Randy and wife, Diann; along with many nieces, nephews, and members of the Sorrells, Swartz, and Kinder families.

Carla was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
