Carol Anne Tidmore, 79, of Kaufman, TX passed away on August 3, 2024, at home with family by her side. Carol was born on November 13, 1944, to Harvey and Margaret Landis in Key West, FL. Born in Florida, she moved to California and graduated from High School there. Carol moved to Texas about 45 years ago and has lived in Kaufman for 40 years. On June 14, 1965, Carol married Thomas Tidmore, and they spent a loving 59 years together. She worked for Dillard’s, Sears and other department stores for around 30 years. Carol enjoyed skating when she was younger and listening to Elvis Presley songs and loved taking care of animals. She was a kind person, who had never met a stranger. Carol was a socialite and would help others in need and always met you with a smile and a great sense of humor. She would often be seen dropping candy canes off at the Fire and Police departments during the holidays. Carol was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Sister. Her parents, Harvey and Margaret, grandson Cody Daniels and brother James Landis preceded her in death. Those left to cherish her memory are husband Thomas, children: Teresa Tidmore Kilgore, Tommy Tidmore, Jr. and wife Tanya and Cathie Tidmore; grandchildren: Sheila Kilgore, Josie Kilgore Stinson and husband Stephen, Joeanne Kilgore McCabe and husband Caleb, Robert Joseph Kilgore, Jr., Chris Tidmore and wife Christina, Caitlin Tidmore and husband James laPointe, Megan Long and husband Justin, Brianna Stadtfeld and husband Justin, Dusty Tidmore, Jerald Shinn and Ty Vasquez; 19 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, sister Janice Sondys, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
