Charles Alvin Chandler

January 15, 1929 — December 30, 2020

Charles Alvin Chandler, 91, of Midland, TX passed away on December 30, 2020.  Charles was born on January 15, 1929 to Percy and Laurissa Chandler.  He started school in the Scurry-Rosser ISD before moving to Cotton Center and graduating high school there.  Charles was a farmer all his life.  He spent time fishing and loved to tell stories that would make people laugh.  He has been a long time member of the Church of Chirst.  Charles married Nora Chandler on August 23, 1993 and they have been together for a loving 27 years.  Charles was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. His parents, first wife Joye Chandler, brothers: Curtis Chandler, Dellis Chandler and Carlos Chandler; sisters: Gauda Lightfoot, Josephine Wynn and Jewel Brown and grandson Brandon Henegar proceeded him in death.  Those left to cherish his memory are wife Nora,  sons: Kenneth Chandler and wife Kay  of Poolville, TX and John Wyckoff of Hempstead, TX; daughter Linda Tibbets and husband Greg of Scurry, TX; 5 grandchildren: John Eric Wyckoff and wife Kylie of Nashville, TN, Kristen Joslin and husband Chris of Coahoma, TX, Tavie Guthrie and husband John of Rockwell, TX, Stormi Bryan and husband Chris of Poolville, TX and  Ryan Tibbets and wife Chandler of Waco, TX. 13 great grandchildren, sister Reba Norman, numerous extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
