Cleo Renee Raymond was born August 26, 1945 at home in Prairieville, TX. She attended Mabank schools and graduated from Mabank High School in 1963 and later she attended and graduated from Henderson County Junior College, HCJC. Cleo met Billy Lloyd White and they married February 21, 1964. They moved to Kaufman where they raised their daughters, Kristie and Dana. Cleo worked for Stuart Nash Insurance Agency, Hunt Oil, and First National Bank of Kaufman. Cleo and Billy were members of First Baptist Church of Kaufman with their girls. They were happily married until Billy’s passing in 1984. Cleo then married Frankie Eugene Janicek in 1988. Together they ran J & T Construction and Floors and More for almost 20 years. Cleo then worked at Brookshires before retiring. Cleo married Auddie Mooneyham in 2020, and they enjoyed traveling and dancing at the 49ers in Seven Points. Cleo passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 18, 2024 after a 2 year battle with cancer with her family by her side. Cleo is preceded in death by her parents Edgar Arther Raymond and mom Bessie Mae Smith Raymond, husband Billy Lloyd White, brothers, Wesley Raymond and Olan Raymond, sister Annie Lou Raymond Groom. Nephews Mark Raymond, Paul Raymond, Leon Groom, Ricky Ray Raymond and nieces Patti Ann Raymond and Robbi Raymond. Cleo is survived by her brother Ray Raymond and wife Ann Raymond. Two daughters, Kristie Manning, her husband Jay Manning, and Dana Chelette, her husband Shawn Chelette. Three grandchildren: grandson William Chelette and wife Hannah Chelette, granddaughters Lauryn Manning and Ashleigh Chelette, great grandsons that she adored, Bradley Jay Walker and Emerson Ray Chelette. A multitude of nephews, nieces and cousins who she all loved dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held June 1, 2024 at 10am at Parker Ashworth in Kaufman with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to Kaufman Senior Center, 607 E Fair St. Kaufman, TX.
