Cynthia Kay Hamm, born on January 23, 1967, in Sterling, Kansas, passed away on April 21, 2025. She was a remarkable individual who dedicated over 20 years to her career as a hairdresser, delighting in the connections she made with her clients at her salon, "Two Doors Down," located in Seagoville, Texas. Cynthia's outgoing personality shone through as she engaged with those around her, always ready to lend a helping hand despite her own needs. Her genuine love for people and her profession was evident, and her clients were like family to her.
Cynthia took great pride in her family, cherishing her role as a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her beloved mother, Janice D. Kitson; her son, Shawn Hamm; her daughter, Shania Hamm and John Crocker; her niece, Taylor Youngblood; her nephew, Timothy Youngblood; and numerous grandchildren, aunts, uncles, and other cherished family members. Cynthia’s legacy lives on through her loved ones who will remember her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support.
She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Mathews; her brother, Willie Hurst; and her sister, Kelly Youngblood. Although she is dearly missed, Cynthia's spirit and the love she extended to others will continue to resonate within the hearts of those who knew her.
A memorial service to celebrate Cynthia’s life will be held on May 9, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM at Parker - Ashworth Funeral Home in Kaufman, Texas. Friends and family are invited to join in remembrance of a woman who touched so many lives with her warmth and compassion.
