Danny's faith and obedience in Christ was a cornerstone of his life of service, and the Lord guided him in all facets of his life. He was a faithful member of the Landmark Church of Christ, where he worshipped and served the Lord with his fellow Christians. Danny cultivated a deep reverence for all of creation and an unwavering commitment to living a life of love and compassion.

Danny graduated from Scurry-Rosser High School in 1959 and the Dallas Fire Academy in 1960. In his earthly journey, Danny dedicated himself to serving the community as a firefighter, becoming a beacon of strength and compassion in times of distress. He retired as a Captain of the Dallas Fire Department in 1990.  Danny’s selflessness and desire to help and protect others exemplified the true essence of service.

Outside of his noble profession, Danny found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and friends.  He loved history and enjoyed sharing his experiences and knowledge with others. He was a licensed private pilot and he delighted in the art of flying both actual and radio-controlled airplanes, finding serenity in the skies above. He loved solving word and number puzzles to challenge his mind and hone his focus and determination.
