Dawn Liles

Dawn Marie Liles, 55, of Crandall, TX passed away on April 23, 2025, at home. Dawn was born on August 24, 1969, to Clarence and Kathy Thornblad in Cloquet, MN. She grew up in Aberdeen, SD where she went to school and graduated from Central High School in 1987. Dawn worked at Hub City for 18 years, Brown County Speedway for 16 years and Premier Truck Group of Dallas for 10 years. Dawn continued her work with Hub City where she met Glen Liles. Dawn and Glen would marry on July 15, 2016, and have been together for a loving 16 years. Dawn moved to Texas in 2009 and has lived there since. She enjoyed rescuing animals, from her baby Bandit and Daisy Mae to her kitties Sesame, Misty and Pixie and her tortoise Cecil. Dawn loved sitting on the porch watching her cows and listening to the geese. If Dawn wasn’t working she loved being at home with her family. Dawn loved being a mother, from soccer and football games to doctor’s appointments, she also enjoyed cooking and having her whole family around for the holidays. Dawn was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Sister. Her parents preceded her in death. Those left to cherish her memory are husband Glen Liles, children: Shelden Neitzel, Trisha Neitzel-Roof and husband Adam, Makayla Williams and husband Rhandie Waller, Tonya Ponder and husband Chris, Nicole Liles and husband Justin Pratt and Ally Liles; grandchildren: Breanna Ponder, Ayden Ponder, Allyson Ponder, Brooklynn Ponder, and Elizabeth Pratt; siblings: Shelley Ochsner and husband Allan and Nichole Thornblad; nephews Jeramy Heupel and Josh Heupel, nieces Miranda Thornblad and Tory Thornblad; numerous extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
