Doyle Lee Cole, 69, of Gun Barrel City, TX passed away on October 24, 2024. Doyle was born on October 8, 1955, to Richard Lee and Dorothy Faye Cole in Dallas, TX. Doyle grew up in Balch Springs, TX before moving to Kaufman in 1984. He has worked in HVAC throughout his Career. Doyle worked for the Dallas ISD for 26 years, Crandall ISD for 10 years and has been self-employed for the last several years. He met Melissa Hay Wilkins, and they have been in a relationship for 8 loving years. Doyle enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and wood working. He loved all his animals, from the doves and chickens he raised to his best fur friend, “Buck”. He was a man of many talents and always worked hard and never could sit still. Doyle was a beloved Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother and Friend. His parents, Richard and Dorothy preceded him in death. Those left to cherish his memory are significant other, Melissa, children: Christy Cole Ward and Doyle James Cole and wife Chrystal; grandchildren: Kevin Lee Ward, Justin Lee Cole, Brooke Elaine Cole; great grandchild Karlee James Ward; siblings: Brenda Faye Higgins and husband Donnie and Patricia Ann Newland and husband Scott, numerous extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.  Thanks to Always Accurate Hospice for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
