Eldon Ray Cope

Eldon Ray Cope, 78, of Kemp, TX passed away on July 31, 2023.  Eldon was born on August 6, 1944, to Albert and Mattie Cope in Dallas, TX.  He worked as a sheet metal mechanic until he retired.  Eldon married Doris Marie Cope on August 30, 1962, in Dallas, TX and they spent a loving 53 years together before she passed away on May 7, 2016.  He enjoyed fishing and playing pool, but his most precious time was spent with his family.  Eldon was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother.  His parents Albert and Mattie, wife Doris, brothers: Darrell Wayne Cope and Alfred Dale Cope; and sister Rogena Williams preceded him in death.  Those left to cherish his memory are children: Donald Cope, Connie Phillips, Lorrie Hord, Beverly Cope and Dale Cope and wife Teresa; grandchildren: John Cope, Lucas Cope, Kalen Ewing, Allie Cope, Josh Phillips, Kevin Phillips, Kimberly Cope, Casey McGuire, Makenzie Cope and Cole Cope; great grandchildren: Heston Cope, Bauer Cope, Kenner Ewing, Kinsley Ewing, Keller Ewing, Cooper Cope, Hadley Cope, Hudson Cope, Landon Cope, Gunner Cope, Bella Cope and Benson Cope; siblings: Randell Cope and Barbara Alexander; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
