Elizabeth Jean Omlor

Elizabeth “Liz” Jean Omlor, age 60, of Kaufman Texas, went home to be with our heavenly father, on Friday, September 1, 2023. Liz was born March 7, 1963, to Willie “Bill” Grisham and JoAnn Patterson in Odessa, TX. 

​She was a 1981 graduate of Permian Highschool. She later moved to Dallas, TX where she met the love of her life Chuck Omlor, who she married on April 20, 2002, in Irving, Tx.  

She worked for over 20 years as a payroll Manager. After retirement she became a foster caregiver for Kaufman County cats, and she would donate to the ASPCA. Liz had a passion for animals, especially cats. She would go without just to save a kitty. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, shopping, being pampered, and country dancing.

Liz is survived by her husband Chuck of 21 years. Son Christopher Sims of Midland, TX. Son Brandon Sims of Hallsville, TX and wife Erika. DaughterBridget Fisher of Rusk, TX and husband Billy Fisher.Sister Vickie Brown of Montana. Aunt Louise Smith of Abilene, Tx. 7 Grandchildren, Hutson sims, Bradon Sims, Wiley Sims, Tucker sims, Lane Fisher, Cayson Fisher, and Annalise Fisher. Niece Amber Tennison of Decatur, Tx with Brad Benson and daughter McKenzie and precious baby girl on the way. Nephew Jacob Brown of Montana. 

Liz is proceeded in death by her grandparents Harold and Edna Armour, her mother Joann Patterson, her father Willie “Bill” Grisham and her sister Teresa Ball Miller.

Visitation for Liz will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023, from 2pm to 3pm followed by a celebration of life beginning at 3pm with both services being held at Parker-Ashworth Funeral home, located at 2217 S. Washington, Kaufman, TX 75142.
