Eloise G. Gonzalez, 77, is now resting at a place she always aspired to be in her life…Heaven! It was her ultimate goal in life to make it there one day, and she did on 9 February 2025. We know she is embracing The Good Lord and all her loved ones up above.
Eloise was born in Floresville, TX on 14 October 1947. She grew up in Scurry, Rosser, Kaufman and Forney, later graduating from Forney High School in 1967. Eloise would later be employed at Western Electric, AT&T and Lucent Technologies for almost 30 years, and lived in Mesquite, TX for several years. In 1980 she met her husband Juan. Shortly thereafter, her, Juan and their children moved back to Kaufman, and have lived here since then. Eloise and Juan recently celebrated their 44th Anniversary.
Eloise is survived by her husband Juan, 4 children, Stephanie E. Jacquez (Jesse), Stephen M. Acevedo (Maria), Manuel T.J. Acevedo (Kathy), Matthew A. Acevedo (Valerie), 12 grandchildren, Ashlee Rae Adame’ (Jon), Eliza Acevedo, Erica Soto (Jose), Luis Vieyra (Valerie), Casie Jordan Acevedo (Neko), Christian J.R. Acevedo (Cassandra), Peyton O. Yanez (Jesus), Rylie D. Acevedo (Tyler), Matthew L. Alvarado, Derek M. Avila, 24 great-grandchildren Analeese Rose-Eloise, Jace, Ryan, Avery, Kevin, Natalia, Bristol, Alexander, Camilla, Aria, Liliana, Carmelo, Hiram, Addalynn, Addyson, Stevie, Adam, Alizae, Jordan, Nevaeh, Mia, Kailey and Joseph. She is also survived with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Eloise was preceded in death by her Dad and Mom, Lolo and Eliza Garza, grandchildren, Jacob J. Jacquez and Stephen M. Acevedo, great-grandson Caiden, all of her siblings, Patsy Tijerina (Alfonso), Frank Garza (Helen), Lorenzo Garza (Sue), Antonio “Tony” Garza, niece, Martha McVey, nephews, Charles Roy Garza, Manuel Tijerina and Billy Frank Garza.
Eloise was a devout Catholic, her faith in the Lord took precedence above all in her life. She was always led by her faith and was an outstanding servant of the Lord. She was a lifetime parishioner at St Ann Catholic church, and was a Catechism Teacher as well. She was the absolute best wife, Mama, Mamo, Gate Mamo, family member and friend. Mama is a Champion…always was, and always will be! She will be dearly missed, but her memory and legacy of faith, hope and love will live forever.
