Gary Wallace Dipprey, 73, of New Waverly, TX, passed away on September 30, 2023 at home with his family. Gary was born on January 14, 1950 to Dr Thomas Eual and Emogene Dipprey in Dallas, TX. He grew up in Dallas and graduated from Pleasant Grove Christian School. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree at Abilene Christian College and a Master’s degree from Oklahoma State University. He had a successful career in many areas but his family is always what he was most proud of.
Gary married Jennifer Dipprey on August 29, 1970. They have spent a busy 53 years together. Gary was adopted as an infant and has always held close the idea that God commanded us to care for the orphans and widows. Gary never met a stranger and enjoyed the company of others. Gary and Jennifer opened their homes and their hearts to many people, especially children. Gary loved supporting his children in all their endeavors. Gary was a loved husband, father, grandfather, coach, and friend. He is proceeded in death by his parents Dr. Thomas Eual and Orpah Emogene, his grandson Jeremy Austin, and his brother Perry Dipprey.
Those left to honor his memory are his wife—Jennifer, children—Annie Austin, Laura Isales and husband Jose, Jared Dipprey and wife Tina, Emily McMurray and husband Jeremy, Kalyica Stille and husband Charlie, Lynn Dipprey, Karley Dipprey, Charlie Dipprey, John Thomas Dipprey, Casey Dipprey, and Nathan Dipprey; grandchildren—Joshua Austin, Jakob Austin, Emilie Austin, Kaylee Dipprey, Kara Dipprey, Hudson Dipprey, Bennett McMurray, Brantley McMurray, and Carolyn Dipprey ; brothers Mickey Dipprey and Keith Dipprey; sister—Rhonda Stickrath.
Gary was a father figure to many others who are part of his loving family. They include, Robert Walker, Leonard Oxendine, Jim Kelley, James Henderson, Jesse Hernandez, Eric Hernandez, Victor Hernandez, Nana Hernandez, Armound Hernandez, Cheryl Pope, and many others
