Glenda Gwen Lydia

Glenda Gwen Lydia, affectionately known as "Meme" went to be with the lord on March 18, 2025. She was born on October 11, 1956, to Guinn William and Helen Grace Swagerty in Wichita Falls, TX. Her family moved to Terrell, TX in 1966 and then to Kaufman, TX in 1979 where she’s lived since. She married Dan Lydia, who recently passed away, and they were together for over 40 wonderful years. Glenda worked for Terrell State Hospital before working with Dr. Rivero and then with Dr. Gucci as their office managers. Glenda’s passion was taking care of people; her family, friends, church family and the people she would meet in the office. She was also very artistic. She dabbled in painting, loved decorating for weddings, and baking. Her favorite time to decorate was for Christmas. She absolutely loved Chrismtas time. Glenda was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Sister. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guinn and Helen, husband Dan, siblings: Guinn William Swagerty, Jr., Tommie White Messenger, Gerald White, Cheryl Lynn Swagerty. Those left to cherish her memory are children: Kenneth William Dickerson and wife Carol, Brandy Renee Dickerson, Candace Deann Lydia, David Pickron and wife Tammy and Floyd Pickron and wife Tracie. Grand children: Tyler Dickerson, Jordan Dickerson, Alexis Dickerson, Daylon Dickerson, Rylan Gore, Brittany Biddle (niece, but like a grand), Brandee Ashley, Kaden Pickron, J'lil Herndon, D'shunovick Herndon, Adrian Williams, Legacy Bloodson, K.C. Jeffers and Isaiah Pickron;  Sister Donna Mae Biven, step-brothers Johnny Frosh and Kenneth Frosch. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
