Helen Michele Gray, 55, of Kaufman, TX went to be with our Lord on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
She was born on November 10, 1968, to Kenneth and Sandra Gray. She brought joy to their hearts and lives, as well as most everyone she met. Michele attended Garland ISD and Richland College. She advanced in the industry of manufacturing and component engineering, which she truly enjoyed. Her ability to assemble just about anything was a true talent. She enjoyed sharing and teaching her skills with anyone.
Michele was an ethical, compassionate leader in every capacity. She lived by the phrase “work hard, play harder”. She was an extraordinarily strong woman, who lived her family’s priority creed of God, family, and country. She seldom accepted “no” for an answer, including her diagnosis of pancreas cancer. Her determination to survive extended her life by over a year from the initial life expectancy provided.
Everyone knew she enjoyed spending time with family and close friends. Her passion for traveling, gardening, baking, canning, and enjoying good food are just a few to list. It was well accepted that Michele’s ‘to do’ lists never stopped, but she always encouraged others to join in her fun!
Michele will always be remembered for her ambitious attitude and creative thinking. We’ll always imagine hearing her say “if there is a will, there is a way” one more time. There are few equals for her loving talents as daughter, sister, mother, partner, grandmother, and/or friend. She will be truly missed deeply every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
Michele was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Gray and is survived by her mother, Sandra Gray and stepfather Stephen Wolf, daughter Michele’ R. Gray, granddaughter Rose Gray, sister Shanna Gray, life partner Teresa Stewart, and bonus-children Amber Mendoza, Eric and Tamara Yingling, Aaron Stewart and bonus grandchildren, Jaylyn and Jaycee Yingling, and Cheyanne and Silas Mendoza. She loved her many siblings adopted by the heart, aunts, uncles and cousins.
