Henry Grady Morris, Jr.

Henry Grady Morris, Jr., age 79, passed away on Saturday October 14, 2023, at his home in Kemp after losing his battle wo cancer. He was born on September 8, 1944, in Dallas, Texas to Henty Morris, Sr., and Lea (Carder) Leonard.  He went to school in Irving, Texas and later went on to attend San Marcos Academy. This is where he met and fell in love with his wife, Jeannie Faris.

Henry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jeannie Morris; daughters Ginger Henning and Jennifer Halvorson; his much-loved grandkids, Ashton and Marcus, great grandson, Enzo; brother Garry Leonard; sister, Sharon Hoagland and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Henry and Jeannie enjoyed Galveston as “their place” and enjoyed traveling both in the U.S. and internationally. His perfect days were spent at the beach or by the pool enjoying a “cuba libre”. His sense of humor enabled him to recall stories or jokes that had everyone laughing. He will be deeply missed by all that loved him and those that had the privilege of knowing him.

As he wished, there will be no funeral services, however, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
