Jackie Lynn Beauchamp

Jackie (Jack) Lynn Beauchamp, passed away peacefully with Janie by his side shortly before midnight on October 13, 2024.

Jack was born in Plainview, Texas on January 9, 1955, to James Earnest Beauchamp and Georgia Elaine Immel. His family moved around for farming opportunities in his early childhood and spent their last years in California.

At the age of 17, Jack proudly entered the U.S. Marine Corps during a tumultuous time in our country to serve and defend for 8 years. The Vietnam War conflict changed him in many ways, though he would rarely discuss specifics of his time in the service other than to say he served as a proud Marine for his country.

During his time in the service, he traveled all over the world, but decided his home was always going to be Texas and he would never leave again. While his siblings and parents lived in different areas, he and his younger brother Jeff were the closest and they always seemed to live near one another. They both settled in Odessa, Texas for many years building on their brotherly bond.

Jack met Janie in Odessa and they started their life together shortly after. They lived in Midland for several years while Jack worked the oil fields, then moved to Kaufman in 1989. Jack quickly adjusted to small-town living in Kaufman and loved it. It gave him a sense of a close-knit family setting he always wanted. Jack was never one to sit in an office/indoor setting. He wanted to be outdoors working and building things. He had many opportunities to do that over the years in various jobs.

Jack loved his family and protected his children and grandchildren with a fierce passion. You could count on him being the loudest and proudest at any sporting event the kids were involved in or that he coached. If you ask his family what they remembered most about Jack, a few specific things always came to mind. He was a master researcher and debater! He dug into a subject to find out facts and then dug more to defend his stance . Second would be that he could quote scripture for any given situation and believed that giving grace was just as good, or even better, than receiving it.

As only Jack can do, I am sure he went to the gates of heaven making a fuss and wanted to know where everyone was as he greeted his longtime friends and the family that had gone before him. I feel certain that his precious grandson Jamie was there waiting with open arms for his PAPA. He was met by family members James Earnest (Father), Georgia Elaine (Mother), Gary (Brother), Gladys (Sister), Billy (Brother), Gloria Sue (Sister), Jeffrey (brother) and the most precious grandson Jamie, as well as grandparents, in-laws and extended family.

Those left to cherish memories are his wife, Janie Acevedo-Beauchamp, daughters Jillian (James), Angel (Jeff), Desiree (Marcus) and sons Payson and Damian. His grandchildren Jax and Jessi Rockwell, Cameron and Cole Sterna, Chloe and Willow Thompson, Emily LeCount, Alice Boucher and Benjamin Beauchamp, his special brothers-in-law Jessie and Ignacio and their families, a sweet close cousin Sue McAdams, wonderful sister-in-law Charlene Beauchamp, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

We know the promise of heaven is that we will see our loved ones again when our time comes, but for those of us left behind we will miss them dearly. Jack has always been ready for whatever fate was destined for him, but he worried about his children and that he didn’t love them enough to last their lifetime. He absolutely did.
