James Allen Dedmon, 74, of Terrell, TX passed away on December 20, 2019 in Dallas. James was born on November 6, 1945 to J.B. and Olee Dedmon in Houston, TX. Jim grew up in Oak Cliff and moved to Terrell in 1984. He worked for Pollock Paper, Mojonnier Beverage and Universal Beverage. Jim met Holly Dean in 1988, spending 30 wonderful years together. Jim spent many years working cows, enjoyed classic cars, going country western dancing, playing guitar and singing base, and was an avid hunter. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. His parents preceded him in death. Those left to cherish his memory are wife, daughter: Angela Slawinski and husband Clay of Rowlett, TX; step-children: Molly Leiker and husband Jason of Colleyville, TX, Matt McSpadden of Dallas, TX and Andrew McSpadden of Kaufman, TX; brothers: Donald Wayne Dedmon and Mary Hamilton of Dallas, TX and Scotty Myrick and wife Karen of Seagoville, TX; sister Barbara Lee Robertson and husband Robbie of Panama; grandchildren: Nicholas McSpadden, Anna Slawinski, Dalton Slawinski, Cole Leiker, Drew Leiker and Kyle Leiker; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
