Janet G. Wilson

Janet G. Wilson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on May 3, 2024, in Pilot Point, Texas. She was born on June 26, 1943, in Kaufman, Texas, to her loving parents Russell Greenlea and Faye Doris Miller.

Janet will always be remembered for her fiery personality – feisty, strong-willed, independent, and equally loving. She had a passion for her family and cherished her grandbabies dearly. Janet was not only known for her devotion to her family but also for her unwavering support for the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. Her love for staying informed led her to be an avid fan of Fox News.
 
Apart from being a loyal fan to sports teams and news channels, Janet found joy in the kitchen cooking her favorite pot roast and creating delicious meals for those she held close.
 
Janet is survived by her daughter, Beverly Wilson; son, Jackie Wilson; grandchildren, Casie Acevedo, Christian Acevedo, Jacklyn Wilson, Ashlee Wilson, Cody Jack Wilson; great-grandchildren Kevin Hernandez, Natalia Hernandez, Bristol Hernandez, Alexander Hernandez, Aria Acevedo-Guy and Liliana Rosalie Acevedo.
 
She is predeceased by her parents, Russell and Faye Doris Greenlea, a sister Billie Ann Grimes; her grandson, Stephen Acevedo; great-grandson Caiden Hernandez; and beloved fur baby, Buffy.
 
A visitation for Janet will take place at Parker - Ashworth Funeral Home in Kaufman, Texas, on Monday, May 13, 2024. The visitation will begin at 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM to honor the life of this remarkable woman.
 
Janet's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in peace knowing that she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all whose lives she touched.
