Joesph Tobias Duncan, born on June 13, 1998, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, left this world far too soon on December 9, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. He was a vibrant soul whose kind and welcoming nature made everyone he met feel at ease. Joes's infectious spirit and genuine warmth were his trademarks, creating deep, lasting connections with family and friends alike.
A proud alum of the University of Texas at Tyler, he earned his bachelor’s degree, a testament to his hard work and dedication. Beyond his academic achievements, Joesph had a passion for gaming that filled many hours with joy and excitement. He often shared his love for both the digital world and thoughtful discussions through the podcasts he cherished; they provided him with inspiration and entertainment in equal measures.
Loyal in his celebrations, Joesph was famously “Big” on the holidays. within his family, especially when The Christmas holiday season always held a special place in his heart, allowing him to embrace the spirit of joy and togetherness that defined his relationships.
He is survived by his loving parents, Stan and Earlean Duncan of Henderson, who nurtured his dreams and ambitions. Joesph shared a close bond with his sister, Elanna Hylander (spouse – Darren) of Kaufman, and brother, Jay Daniel Duncan (spouse – Judith) of Choctaw, Oklahoma, who will forever cherish the memories they created together. His family grew richer through his beloved nieces, Jordyn Hylander (fiance - Kaleb Alderete) and Jaedyn Hylander, alongside his nephews, Brayden Hylander, Aaron Duncan, and Ethan Duncan, all of whom filled his heart with pride and affection. He is also survived by his aunts, Mary Ross, Shelia Strickland, and Gyula Duncan, who were sources of encouragement and guidance throughout his life. Each member of his family remembers him not just for his talents, but for the love he shared so freely and the joy he brought into their lives.
As we gather to honor his memory, we remember Joesph as a beacon of kindness and warmth, a tribute to a life lived fully, albeit far too briefly. His legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will forever remain alive in the hearts of those lucky enough to have known him.
