John Alvin Beard

John Alvin Beard, 79, passed away on May 28, 2021 in Palmer, TX. John was born on June 3, 1941 to W.W. Beard, Sr and Zora Miller Beard in Leakesville, MS. He worked as a sheet metal mechanic for over 30 years. He enjoyed spending time fishing. He loved his children and grandchildren, even kids that weren't his that he cared for as if they were his own, and his dog "Little Bear". He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, his parents, son Roger Chaney, and his siblings: Will Ray Turner, James Curtis "JC" Beard, Velma Mae Smith, Dora Jean Hillman, Myrtis Beard and William "Bill" Beard. Those left to cherish his memory are children: Bill of Kaufman, TX, Otis of Huntsville, TX, Veronica of Kaufman, TX and Joe of Gun Barrell City, TX; 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
