Joseph Chad Jones,42, went home to his Lord and Savior in Dallas, Texas on June 12, 2019. Chad was born in Monterrey California on February 25, 1977 to Thomas and Suzan Jones. He was raised in Scurry all of his life and graduated from Scurry High School in 1995. Chad then went on to attend Stephen F. Austin University where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. After SFA Chad studied to be a police officer at the Police Academy in Lufkin, Texas. His first job as a peace officer was for the Shelby County Sheriffs Office as a K9 officer. Chad then went to work for the Kaufman County Sheriffs Office for 7 years until he was elected as Kaufman County Precinct 4 Constable. Chad had a love many things in his life but most of all was the love he had for his children. Chad loved his family and was a big part of their lives taking them to the many activities that they were a part of. He served on the Kaufman County Show board serving as both treasurer and Vice President. He loved animals and even showed pigs. Chad was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. He volunteered his time with local charities helping them with whatever they asked of him. Chad is survived by his loving wife Kelley Jones, Son: Joseph Levi Jones, Daughters: Dakota Rain Jones, Kindle Chade Jones, Shiloh River Jones, Noah Faith Jones, Parents: Thomas Joseph Jones, Brother: Eric Thomas Jones and wife Tabitha, and many other relatives and friends.
