Joy Jeanette Asbill went home to her Lord and Savior on May 31, 2020 at her home in Scurry, Texas. Joy was born in Emmet, Arkansas on December 6, 1940 to Elmer Ray and Lottie Pearl McKelroy. Joy married her late husband David Asbill, Sr. on May 29, 1971 in Mabank, Texas. She had a strong loving relationship with her husband of 12 years before the Lord called him home 37 years ago. Joy was a strong woman devoted to her Lord and Savior. She came from a family of ministry which she carried on throughout her life. Joy had a very giving heart and gave her heart in all she accomplished. She loved her family and especially the grandkids. She was a professional seamstress most of her life. Some of Joy’s hobbies include a love for gardening and flowers. Joy was a member of the Landmark Church of Christ. Joy is survived by her Daughters: Teffnie Lynn Asbill of Scurry, Texas, Deborah Ann Jarvis and husband Danny from Scurry, Texas. Sons: Tony Ray Brown from Midlothian, Texas, David Asbill and wife Tammy from Stephenville, Texas, Grandchildren: Courtney Reed, Shelby Watts, Keri Brown, Brandon Brown, Desiree Johnson, Brad Asbill, Brittany Barker, Betsy Seabourn. 12 Great-Grandchildren. Those who preceded her in death were her parents Elmer and Lottie McKelroy, her husband David Asbill Sr., and brother Gilbert Ray McKelroy
