Kathy J. Hatcher

Kathy J. Hatcher, 72, of Scurry, Texas went home to her Lord and Savior on August 21, 2020 in Kaufman, Texas. Kathy was born in Terrell, TX to Eugene and Katherine Murrell on April 16, 1948. She married David Earl Hatcher in Kemp, Texas in 1965. Kathy was a longtime resident of Scurry, Texas. She worked at the elementary school in Scurry in both the cafeteria and the library. Kathy absolutely loved people especially children. It was very hard for her to say no to a child. A lot of times she would give the kids that didn’t have money at school the change out of her pocket. She was a loving wife and mother to her family. Kathy was preceded in death by her husband David, parents Eugene and Katherine Murrell, a sister Jonell Cates and a son Patrick Hatcher. Kathy is survived by her Sons: Joe Hatcher and wife Mollie, Jason Hatcher and wife Misty, Jeremy Hatcher and wife Taylor, Brother: Jess Murrell and wife Janice, Grandchildren: Dalton Hatcher, Alton Hatcher, Leah, Hatcher, Justin Hatcher, David Hatcher, Averie Hatcher, Bowen Hatcher, Great-Grandchild: Hudson Hosey, Step-Mother: Winnie Murrell.
