Katie Merle Williams

Katie Merle Williams, 80, of Ben Wheeler, TX passed away on February 5, 2022.  Katie was born on February 3, 1942 to Bill and Sammy Edwards.  Katie grew up in Wills Point graduating from High School there.  She worked at the Kaufman Clinic, Baylor Sammonds Cancer Center, Morgan and Moseley Law Office and for 15 years worked for the Dallas ISD where she retired.  Katie enjoyed reading, especially her bible, and going to Mexican Food restaurants.   She loved spending time with her family whatever they were doing.  Katie was married to George Williams for 47 years before he passed away.  Her husband, parents, Bill and Sammy, brothers: Donald Edwards, SF Edwards and Billy Ray Edwards; and sister Alene Smith preceded her in death.  Those left to cherish her memory are sons: George Michael Williams and Daniel Brian Williams and wife Robin Striplin; daughter Rhonda Dykes and husband Jeff; grandchildren: Katy Dykes and Dalton Dykes and wife Sarah; great grandchildren: Austin Dykes and Tyler Striplin; numerous extended family and friends who  will miss her dearly.
