Kay Parker Ferrell, 74, died peacefully at home of complications from Alzheimer’s Disease and entered Heaven on January 24, 2023.
Kay was born on May 2, 1948 to her late parents, Lewis J. Parker and Mabel A. Parker. They were long-time residents of Kaufman, Texas and faithful members of First Baptist Church Kaufman.
Kay graduated from Kaufman High School Class of 1966 and East Texas State University with a degree in Education.
Her 35-year career with Steak & Ale began as a Secretary to the Executive Vice President, continued as a Seafood Buyer and a Construction Coordinator in building restaurants, and ended as a Tax Supervisor. Kay loved: God, being with her family, classic country music, traveling, ceramics, antiques, and Diet Coke.
Those left to cherish her memories are: her loving husband of fifty-one years, Roy W. Ferrell, her three adored sons: Nick Ferrell (Jaime), Kirk Ferrell (Helaena), and Ken Ferrell (Courtney), her eight precious grandchildren: Tyler Ferrell (Madison), Maci Johnson (Corey), Kallan Ferrell, Sydney Lanier (Jimmy), Kennedy Bailey (Blake), Paisley Ferrell, Presley Ferrell, and Parker Ferrell, five treasured great-grandchildren: Rylee, Brayden, Waylon, JonGrayson, and Aston, and numerous nieces and nephews.
We will dearly miss our loving, kind, devoted, and irreplaceable Wife, Mom, Memaw, and Friend. God broke our hearts to prove that he only takes the best.
