Larry Stephen Moon, born on December 14, 1944, passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side on August 4, 2024. He was the cherished son of the late C.L. Moon and Anna Lorene Moon and the beloved brother of the late Carolyn Moon. He is survived by his brothers Ron Moon, David Moon, and Jeff Moon.
Larry was a loving husband to his wife, Tammy, and a proud father to his five children: Cary (Amy), Kevin (Dina), Jason (Erika), Connor (Michelle), Anna Park (Jordan), and stepdaughter Amber Sutton. His legacy continues through his 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Larry began his distinguished career at C.L. Moon Civil Engineering, contributing his expertise and dedication. His professional journey continued with significant roles at Bramcon, Lincoln Property Company, and Hillwood Properties. Throughout his career, Larry's commitment to excellence and integrity was evident.
Larry grew up in Dallas, Texas, where he attended Bryan Adams High School. He was an accomplished track and field athlete during his time at Texas Tech and SMU, where he excelled in pole vaulting. Later in life, he resided in Gun Barrel City. Beyond his professional and athletic achievements, Larry had a profound love for music, cooking, woodworking, playing tennis, and raising animals on his farms.
Larry Stephen Moon is now in the arms of Jesus but will always be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his professional accomplishments, and his vibrant passions. His memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
